I'VE BEEN COACHING SINCE 2012, driven by the desire to help people maximize their impact as leaders; envision and realize career transitions/growth; and identify and work through personal and professional roadblocks. I’ve coached leaders and career-changers at all levels and in many parts of the world, and it’s the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done.
I came to coaching after a long, satisfying career in the NYC nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, where no matter what my role was, I was doing people work – creating strong organizational cultures, facilitating conversations and collaborations, and making sure staff and clients were thriving and learning.
After I had kids I wanted a more flexible career, and I asked myself the question I now ask many of my clients: “If I could get paid to do anything, what would it be?”
My answer was (and still is), I want to have deep, meaningful 1:1 conversations with amazing people that will help them do their work in the world.
And that’s what I get to do now as a coach.
I'm certified by the Coaches Training Institute and accredited as a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation. I bring a wealth of other professional and life experience and skills to the party, including facilitation, mediation, coach skills training, and a well-developed sense of play.
A few other things to know about me:
• AT LAST COUNT I HAVE TRAVELED TO 25 COUNTRIES (airport layovers don’t count); in 2011 I realized a dream and brought my whole family with me to live in Granada, Spain for 6 months.
• I'M A NATIVE NEW YORKER and now a tried and true Brooklynite, having made my home in Park Slope since 1998.
• I HAVE 2 REDHEADED DAUGHTERS Stella (born in 2004) and Vera (2007), who are smart as whips, completely hilarious, and way more into pop music and YouTube than I will ever be.
• THE BEACH AND THE OCEAN ARE MY GO-TO PLACES for peace, fun, reflection and goodness, though I do love the pulse and ever-changing groove of Brooklyn.
